2026 General Election Voting
North Dakota’s 2026 General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Absentee and vote-by-mail voting begins in late September. Any eligible North Dakota voter may request an absentee ballot. All the Counties in D19 are vote by mail but also have 1 in person polling location per county. Contact your county auditor for more information. Absentee and vote by mail ballots must be received—not merely postmarked—by the close of polls on Election Day. You may return your ballot by mail, to the county auditor, or through an authorized county ballot drop box.

About Karen A. Anderson
Karen A. Anderson represents North Dakota House District 19, serving communities in northeast North Dakota. First elected in 2022, she began serving in the North Dakota House of Representatives in 2023.
A lifelong North Dakotan, Karen brings experience in agriculture, local government, small-business work, and community service. Her background includes farming, service as a Walsh County commissioner, and professional training at Hair Designers Academy, where she became a licensed hairdresser.
Karen’s approach to public service is grounded in conservative values and commitment to issues that affect families, rural communities, agriculture, health care, transportation, and local businesses. Her legislative committee work has included Agriculture, Human Services, Transportation, Agriculture and Water Management, and Rural Health Transformation.
Outside the Legislature, Karen has been involved with North Dakota and Walsh County organizations, including the Walsh County Farm Bureau, the Park River Pregnancy Help Center, the Legion Auxiliary, and other community and service groups. She lives near Grafton with her husband, Ron.
Karen is committed to representing District 19 with a practical, community-focused perspective and remaining accessible to the people she serves.
